14 April 2008 EAGLECAM Visit the Information Centre to see our Eaglecam. We have a camera filming an eagle's nest on the estate, 24 hours a day, through the breeding season. The picture is then beamed by satellite to a screen at the Centre. This is a project funded and managed by the Tayside Raptor Study Group, Natural Research and Scottish Natural Heritage to gather more information on what golden eagles eat and what they feed to their chicks. 2 eggs were laid in March, and the parents are sitting on them. They should hatch between end April and early May.
7 January 2008 JUBILEE RIFLE RANGE Dates for shoots at the rifle range in 2008 are now posted in the access section of the website, and also in the Glen Tilt Car Park and Atholl Estates Information Centre. During long-range shoots, the track through the range is closed for safety. See the Jubilee Rifle Range pages for further information.

22 October 2007 HILLPHONES AND STAG STALKING The stag stalking season for 2007 has now finished. The hind stalking season started today and runs through until 15 February. You are welcome to visit the hills during this time, but please do your best to avoid disturbing any stalking activities you may see while you are out. Thanks to all of you that used our Hillphone during the stag season.
21 June 2007 FALLS OF BRUAR The path at the Falls of Bruar has now been upgraded substantially. The path as far as the lower bridge and lower Falls is now suitable for buggies and electric wheelchairs / mobility vehicles. Beyond the lower bridge, the path has been improved in places but still has rough and steep sections. New interpretation will be coming to the site soon.
27 August 2006 WEST LODGE FOOTBRIDGE The footbridge at West Lodge, 2 miles west of Blair Atholl, has now been removed, as it was unsafe. The Council are putting in a temporary diversion via Bruar to get you across the river. But beware, as this will add approx. 3 miles to your trip. This will affect you particularly if you are going from Blair Atholl to Loch Bhac.
