Camping beside the road is not permitted on Atholl Estates. Please use a camp-site. Wild camping – miles from a road in remote countryside which you have travelled to by foot/cycle is permitted, but please follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code, be discreet and leave no trace of your presence. Remember that your campsite is on working land used for upland farming and moorland management.

Camping in Groups
We appreciate it if you would contact us if you want to wild camp on the Estate as a group, e.g. Duke of Edinburgh Award or Scout Groups. This allows us to advise you of the most appropriate places to camp which will not disturb Estate activities and to let you know any relevant access information, e.g. bridges washed away or footpaths temporary closed for forestry work. It also helps our gamekeepers to know where your are, as they often work at night.
